"If you haven't read anything by this author, start now with "Secrets of the Happy Soul" and then get her devotionals. I appreciate and recommend this author because she is always solidly Biblical. She constantly points the reader back to Scripture. "Secrets of the Happy Soul" brings to life what Scripture says about our identity as a Happy Soul and how we live that identity from the inside out. I am stringent on getting Biblical terms correct especially going back to the original Hebrew and Greek. The author does this from the beginning in defining "Happy". The Hebrew is full of meaning that our modern English word doesn't convey. The book is easy to read with short chapters and a perfect balance of theology and practical application. Read! Read! Read!
