There are certain things I require in a mystery novel. I need it to be fast-paced, easy to digest for those days when reading feels too difficult, and absolutely NOT scary. Lastly I need it to have an unexpected ending because I am, actually, Columbo and I tend to work everything out in the first 100 pages. This triple ticked all the boxes. Perfect binge-read and apparently soon to become a TV series which I will also binge on *applauds enthusiastically*

a little slow, and predictable ending. easy holiday read though.
