Am Beispiel der Ehrrestitutionssuppliken am Reichshofrat Kaiser Rudolfs II. (1576-1612) analysiert Florian Zeilinger die Wiederherstellung verlorengegangener Ehre durch kaiserliche Gnade. Er fokussiert auf die kommunikativen Praktiken und Strategien der Supplikanten und des Reichshofrats, ihre Argumente für die Ehrrestitution sowie die darin erkennbaren Ehrkonzepte. Die analytische Konzeptualisierung von Ehre als Sozialkredit erweist sich dabei als erkenntnisfördernd.
About the author
Florian Zeilinger (Dr. phil.), geb. 1991, ist Germanist und Historiker mit einem Forschungsschwerpunkt auf der Politik- und Kulturgeschichte der Frühen Neuzeit. Seine Dissertation verfasste er als Stipendiat des österreichischen HRSM-Kooperationsprojekts »The Exercise of Judgment in the Early Modern Period« und er war Mitarbeiter im Editionsprojekt »Der Regensburger Reichstag des Jahres 1576«.
