Jaideep Bankoti
I came across this book, after I saw the movie. I read it because I was perplexed and deeply vested to delve deeper into this strangely beautiful and surreal thriller. The movie and book are completely different and both have excellent plot. The book is more direct at delivering the story and easy to understand, and also explains about other characters, that we cannot understand in the movie. Hence, I will recommend this. its an easy read and also watch the movie to explore both dimensions of the same universe.

I love that the book and the movie are completely different but both carry the theme of a celebrity who was known and branded as one image and how difficult it is to rebrand it. I will say while the movie has the Satoshi Kon style of surrealism and symbolism to approach the subject, the book is simpler and more direct with the story. Which is great and worth buying the book and watching the movie
