As much as I hate to see this series end, Michelle M Pillow did it justice. This is King Lucius & Olivette's story. Plus the fate of all the Merr folk. *SPOILERS AHEAD* "Queen," I say loosely, Maia meets a particularly disgusting end but if anyone deserved it, it was her. I was lmao when King Lucius had different colored $lutty Mrs. Claus dresses made for Olivette & then Lyra nicknamed her "Elf." Plus when Olivette & Lyra went to town and saw the $lutty Mrs. Claus dresses in the window of the dressmaker & then the lady at the loom had on a yellow one. I'm thrilled that the "Olympians" got what the deserved & that Olivette was there for the King to keep him calm & give him a level head during the catastrophe. And thank Posiden for the special seaweed. I just don't understand why King Lucius really never saw the "Olympians" as a major threat. I mean, they were evil to the core of their being. It did end with a HEA but I won't spoil that. I highly suggest you buy now with one click...

Lucius and Olivette's Story . . . The Merman King is Lucius’ story and how he finds his mate while dealing with other issues for his people. Long ago, the gods exiled Lucius and his people to the bottom of the ocean where they live in a dome. Stories say they will burn if they go to the surface, so out of guilt at causing this problem initially and with concern for his people, he decides to go to the surface himself. Olivette was serving guests on a ship. When one of the handsy drunks got angry at her embarrassing him, he threw her overboard and she hit her head. Lucius investigated and saw her sinking, so he rescued her, breathing air into her lungs as he took her to the dome. He falls for her right away; she is his mate. Will she accept what that means? Will she be content to live under the sea in Atlantes? With the dome cracking, can he save his people? I enjoyed the conclusion of this series. The author has written so many wonderful stories. Grab your copy and see if there is a HEA to Lucius’ story. There is also some power struggle upheaval going on, so the excitement continues to the end.

King Lucius feels it is his fault that his people have been cursed to live in a bubble under the sea for so long. With the bubble cracking, they are close to finding a way to reach the surface, breathe air and not die. The King decides to do the test himself and as he succeeds, he also finds his mate thrown overboard and into his hands. He takes her down to Atlantes and things skyrocket. Love this series and all the characters. The storyline has plenty of drama, fun, surprises and romance. It all culminates here in the final book of the series. Love it and now I can reread all six together at once. Well done. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
