About this ebook

The most anticipated J. Sterling release of the year is finally here! You've waited years to meet Jack Carter's son and the wait is over! Strap in and enjoy the ride.

Chance Carter is the son of local baseball legend, Jack Carter. Now in his junior year at Fullton State, Chance is facing challenges he never saw coming. Failing a class will stop his draft season short, making him ineligible to play and pushing his goal of professional baseball even further away.

In steps Danika, a mouthy tutor from New York, who only wants to help him pass his class... NOT get in his pants. But try telling that to Chance. He doesn't trust girls and he definitely doesn't trust his new tutor. A lifetime growing up as a Carter taught him that.

But Danika has issues of her own. After an incident that happened last year, she doesn't trust athletes and wants nothing to do with them. And Chance is no exception.

The fireworks explode as the two try to deny the chemistry between them and family secrets are revealed. Chance doesn't know how to give up on something he wants and he's decided he wants Danika. There's just one problem... she has a boyfriend she has no intention of breaking up with.

How can he have her when she belongs to someone else?

This is the second book in the series. First off Chance is a catcher and I have a weakness for catchers. Secondly Chance is Jack Carter's son. Who doesn't want a little more Jack in their life. I love Chance's family. They're a close knit fun bunch. They do tend to make me laugh quite often. They have a great camaraderie. I love a good college romance then throw in baseball, all I can say is yes, please! I loved Danika and Chance. Though Danika is off limits at the beginning and just Chance's tutor it's easily to see they have an easy way between them. It worked for me because Jared is not good for her and Chance is a true gentleman. This book is going to suck you right in and you won't want to put it down. Most of the characters including the secondary ones are awesome. I can't wait for Mac's story. That boy deserves a good HEA like his teammates.

I don’t know where to start! I loved it! Homerun!! Chance’s only focus is baseball. No girls! Math is his enemy and having to finally take and pass math he know he needs help. In walks Danika as his tutor. No he cannot have this gorgeous woman as his tutor even if she does have a boyfriend. Danika does not help athletes after last years mess so how did she get stuck with Chance. With her boyfriend starting to really tick her off and her attraction to Chance growing she knows she needs to make some decisions. The chemistry of off the charts with these two and a Chance wants to go all in. Can Danika handle the life of a baseball player. Loved getting some more of Jack and Cassie. Read it!!!

Chance and Danika made my heart happy. What a wonderful college, sports romance. Chance has always been focused on baseball. He doesn’t have room for distractions and his parents warned him about women wanting him just for his future career so he keeps to himself, never dating, to avoid any issues. When he needs a tutor to pass a math class, he requests a guy but ends up with Danika. He isn’t prepared for this strong, opinionated, not impressed with his baseball persona woman. Danika doesn’t want to tutor another self-absorbed athlete but her goodwill won’t let her say no. To her surprise, Chance Carter isn’t like other athletes. She finds a driven guy with a heart of gold but she shouldn’t have feelings for him because she has a boyfriend. I didn’t like Danika’s relationship with Jared but the journey she needed to take to realize what she truly needed felt natural and honest. We all find ourselves in a place of comfort at times and find it easier to stick with something even if it’s not the best thing to do. Change is hard. For both Danika and Chance, they each had to realize that maybe change would be good and allow them to find something even better than they imagined.
