In an attempt to create drama and conflict the author took a character out of character. Lucien is no coward by personality, but the author made him run like one. Instead of creating intrigue, it only caused frustration and a desire to stop reading. Not to mention the stretching out of scenes in order to justify a 3rd book. That's not good writing, just business I guess. I assume she is putting the mirror stage in book 3, ultimately not writing 3 books, but instead writing 1 long book and breaking it up into 3 sections. This does not have all the plot points of a single story. Same as book 1.

This was a page turned hotter than grits in July. About to start the 3rd series. Can't wait to see what's next. I really enjoyed reading 📚 well anything with dragons, shifters, witches, vampires, far and let's not forget demons period. Good ones of course or bad turned good.

Couldn't put this book down each page had me on the edge wanting to know if they would be together and who would try to get in their way. Now hoping Rachel and Cinead have a strong coming.
