About the author

Xuehai Yan is Professor and Principle Investigator at the Institute of Process Engineering (IPE), the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He is the Vice Director at the State Key Laboratory of Biochemical Engineering and the Center of Mesoscience, IPE, CAS. He has been awarded National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Outstanding Young Scholar (2015) and NFSC Distinguished Young Scholar (2020).
