About this ebook

Start the epic journey today.

This is the ultimate collection: the first six books in the epic and bestselling series that has gripped millions.

A hero will be forged from this broken land.

As seen on Netflix and BBC around the world.

THE LAST KINGDOM, THE PALE HORSEMAN, THE LORDS OF THE NORTH, SWORD SONG, THE BURNING LAND, DEATH OF KINGS.

Uhtred, born into Saxon aristocracy in ninth-century Northumbria is orphaned at ten. He is captured and adopted by a Dane and taught the Viking ways. Yet Uhtred's fate is indissolubly bound up with Alfred, King of Wessex, who rules over the only English kingdom to survive the Danish assault.

The Last Kingdom Series is an epic series from the master of historical fiction, that tells the tale of Alfred the Great, his descendants, and the Viking enemies they face. The struggle between the English and the Danes and the strife between Christianity and paganism is the background to this outstanding series of how England was made – and very nearly lost.

It's a Rare Thing to give a Book 5☆'s, so to give a Series of, what 12 Books so far! Well it's harder still to justify, but....the thing is that yes there's flaws and a Main character in Book#, may never appear again & Uhtred seems to be involved in Every major clash and battle between..... well....Everyone ! Danes, Saxons, Welsh, Scotti, Hibernians (Irish, B4 the Irish !) Dumnonians, likely some Gauls & probly some Remnants of Rome & the Picts !! And I've an awful fear that I'm gonna see Valhalla, Heaven, The "Next Plane", or Nothing, Before Uhtred Is Done writing his History ! But...the Overarching Story is just Soo Good ! So Compelling that Fault-finding is for Historians and begrudgers ! So, Yes there's minor mistakes, some discordance at times, that makes you want to look back to previous books.. Don't Do This ! 'For the Sake of your Father!' If you can't recall Every Book, say Sod it, Read on, Immerse & Enjoy & If U Can Put It Down, 'Yer A Better Man Than I, Gunga Din !' ☘POD👍🏻

I liked everything about these book, if I had to make a criticism it would be some of the decisions the main character, Utred, makes seem a bit improbable but I guess they are necessary for the plot to follow history

A brilliant writer so believable you would think this was really what happened,. He must really study the history of whatever he writes about and place himself there.
