About this ebook

“My descent to the Seventh Circle of Hell began with a lawn chair.”

When Maggie loses a lucrative contract for her P.I. agency due to an accidental full frontal flashing, she’s forced to accept the only other job on offer: one involving her nemesis, the pampered show cat, Quibbles. Maggie and her wacky associate Lenny are hired to escort Quibbles to the final round of auditions to become the face of a luxury cat food brand, Purrfect Paws.

Instead of the five-star hotel they were promised, Maggie and Lenny find themselves trapped in a run-down hostelry in the middle of a hurricane. To make matters worse, their fellow guests include five spoiled celebrity cats and their ruthlessly ambitious owners, all of whom are determined that their cat should be chosen as the face of Purrfect Paws.

And then a cat-astrophe strikes. One by one, the owners start dying. With the storm raging, and the body count rising, Maggie and Lenny are determined to find the killer before their inn turns into a morgue.

Can Maggie catch the killer or will her fur-midable opponent get the upper paw? Grab a copy and find out today!

I love the Movie Club Mysteries series. I have read most of them and they are always a good read and a good laugh. You never know what Lenny will do but it is a guarantee that it will be shaking your head kind of funny. This book is no different. I loved how this book takes place during a hurricane-type storm in a rundown hotel. Lots of references to Bates motel so you get the image right away. Don't want to give the ending away but I really like how Zara wrote the end of this book. I also love the new addition of Maggie's cousin Angel. I hope we see more of Angel in future books she is very clever and funny. Plus we need to learn more about her and Sergeant Liam Reynolds's relationship. This is my honest review and I would like to thank the author for my ARC copy.

This is a quirky mystery filled with mishaps from the start. It starts with Maggie and Lenny, Private Investigators, on a webcam call from a group of lawyers wanting to hire them. Unfortunately, the lawn chairs they are seated in collapse, taking Lenny's pants with them exposing him to the group. Needless to say, they don't get hired and have to fall back into taking a job involving Quibbles, a show cat they have protected before. His owner has been receiving threats since he became a finalist in a contest to name the spokes cat for a cat food company. Upon arriving at their hotel, there has been a broken sewage pipe and most of the cats and owners are moved to a hotel run by Maggie's niece she hasn't seen for years. There things go from bad to worse. Three people end up dead during a storm that cuts them off from everything. Can Maggie and Lenny find the killer before more people die and can Maggie's boyfriend Liam, a police officer arrive in time to help? Good book, enjoyed every min

This book was hilarious! Lenny and Maggie get into some seriously funny incidents. Now they are stuck taking Quibbles to a contest and of course murder happens. I did not guess the killer! The author always puts in that twist in the end. An excellent read that will make you laugh while you try to catch the killer. I would recommend this book. I received an arc and the views and opinions are my own.
