Acerca de este libro electrónico

A new edition with introduction and expanded reference materials including a character list and discussion questions. Youth is an early coming-of-age short story written in 1898 by Joseph Conrad that tells the story of a young man named Marlow, who recounts his experiences as a sailor on his first voyage as a mate on a ship. Conrad's narrator Marlow would tell all of Conrad's later major novels including Heart of Darkness. The story is set in the late 1800s and explores themes of adventure, youth, and the sea. Marlow recounts his journey and the lessons he learned about life, the sea and himself. He also reflects on the hardships and dangers of life at sea, and the camaraderie that develops among the crew. The story ends with Marlow reflecting on how his experiences have shaped him and how he has grown as a person.
