Following another successful murder investigation, and hopeful that the problem of her rogue magic will soon be a thing of the past, Wren Winters’s life is finally starting to look a little rosier. With a life-saving potion in the works, an exciting new relationship to throw herself into, and not a single murder victim in sight, the newbie witch can finally sit back, relax, and watch the dragons fly overhead.

Maybe she shouldn’t have let herself get too comfortable.

When a grieving mother approaches Wren for help solving the murder of her son, she can’t bring herself to refuse, and so, once again, she must set out in search of a killer. As usual, the island promises plenty of adventure—this time, her investigation leads her to a home for displaced magical creatures, the lonely rocks at sea where the sirens await their prey, and a dense forest that a powerful werewolf pack calls home.

But with that adventure comes plenty of danger. And as Wren soon finds out, sometimes the most beautiful things on the island can hide the deadliest secrets.
