This book takes us through the facts that underlie bipolar disorder, what it is and the various ways through which one can cope with this mental illness. More interestingly is the great inspiring stories from members of my support team, offering you their real life’s experiences and the manner in which they have been successful in coping with the illness. So what are you waiting for? Read on and discover much more about this illness and how you can change your condition or that of your loved ones.

Here is what you'll learn...

•                  What is bipolar disorder, aka manic depression?

•                  Sharing daily responsibilities

•                  Compromising and balancing your spouse’s needs with your own

•                  Taking accountability

•                  Removing the expectations

•                  Taking care of yourself first

•                  And much, much more!

In this book, i provide my own perspective of daily life in a bipolar relationship, and i also do my best to describe my spouse's perspective as well. By taking both sides into consideration, i convey the ways that two people can be successful in a relationship while coping with a mental illness such as bipolar disorder.

Amazing book, very helpful for the person with the disease and their loved ones. Clear and concise writing. The 4-step plan is very logical, if of course the person with bipolar is willing/able to follow the suggestions. The book covers all the major issues of those confronting the disease. I cannot praise this book enough, it should be handed out in the hospital/doctor's office after the diagnosis has been made.

This book is very well-written; it uses language that is easy to digest. I recommend this book to families of newly diagnosed bipolar disorder patients; it's also a good primer for new patients. The book has many facts and many thoughtful suggestions on how a family can support a patient with bipolar disorder. It doesn't "talk down" to readers but at the same time, uses language and terms specifically appropriate for bipolar disorder. It's respectful to everyone in the family, including the patient.

So informative and helpful. I am so thankful there is a book out there that is specific towards those of us who have Bipolar 2, so many times I've only been able to come across Bipolar 1 workbooks. This truly helps you understand the illness more and coming to terms with it. I find myself quite often questioning myself at times but once I did/do these exercises and go back and re-do them or need reassurance it's plain as day. This is by far the best Bipolar book I've ever come across and it's not boring like so many others.
