She has written several books for young readers, including The Legend of Buddy Bush; I, Dred Scott: A Fictional Slave Narrative Based on the Life and Legal Precedent of Dred Scott; The Baptism; and Who Is Stacey Abrams? She lives in Atlanta, Georgia.
