In 1998 Kate O'Hara rents an old cottage on the banks of a river in Tasmania. She wants peace and quiet, to come to terms with her husband's death and the end of her unhappy marriage.
But her cottage is haunted by the ghost of Devlin, a boatman from convict days. Captivated by Devlin's story, and his mysterious disappearance, Kate falls deeper under the spell of the past.
And then Kate steps back in time and meets Devlin in person.

Om forfatteren
Kaye Dobbie has been writing professionally ever since she won the Big River story contest at the age of eighteen. Her career has undergone many changes, including writing Australian historical fiction under the name Lilly Sommers, to romance written as Sara Bennett and published in the US and Australia. Her books have been translated into many languages. She is currently writing under her 'proper' name, Kaye Dobbie, and is published by Harlequin Mira in Australia and Weltbild in Germany. Kaye lives on the central Victorian goldfiends, where she creates her stories and spends time with her family and four important cats.
