From the award-winning creators of When Pencil Met Eraser comes a tale about underappreciated Glue, who longs to stand out, and soon meets a new friend, Glitter, who helps bring out her inner sparkle, confidence, and creativity. Perfect for back to school and all year round!

Glue loves making art with her friends—especially pasting on googly eyes!—but sometimes she feels invisible. Instead of always being stuck in the background, Glue wants to be noticed like Pencil and colorful like the Markers! How can she find a way to stand out?

When a new friend named Glitter arrives in a swirl of sparkles, Glue and Glitter team up to make something completely original and help Glue shine like the star she truly is.

Karen Kilpatrick & Germán Blanco's When Glitter Met Glue spotlights art’s unsung hero—a glue bottle—in a hilarious and clever story that encourages self-acceptance and spurs us all to recognize our inner shimmer. A perfect gift for teachers and the first day of school.

O autorze

Karen Kilpatrick knows her ABC's and likes to tell stories, so she makes up combinations of words on the computer. She also is a mom of three, runs a nonprofit called Authors4Education, is the Marketing Chair on the board of directors for Women in Toys, created the plush toy brand MeBears, and occasionally agents, lawyers, and consults. Some of Karen's other books include When Pencil Met Eraser, When Pencil Met the Markers, A Monster is Eating This Book.

Germán Blanco likes doodling so he draws some caricatures and then puts them on the computer, voila. He is also a graphic designer, a former Creative Director for a global toy company, and a member of the board of directors for Authors4Education. Germán illustrated the books When Pencil Met Eraser, When Pencil Met the Markers, A Monster is Eating This Book.
