War of Hearts

3.5 stars I enjoyed the overall story of this book, but I struggled to like Emersyn. She was standoffish, living a life of luxury, via her father, but then claimed she paid her own way, whilst also having a 24/7. The relationship with the butler, Harvey, was a little strange, I think the author was going for a fatherly figure but it didn't quite work for me. One minute they are very formal & the next watching films together & all his family stays to visit. I loved Arlo, he was a typical playboy & hadn't quite got past being a boy in a mans body. He was in a rut without realising it but meeting Emersyn gave him a reality check. He was a really likeable character. The relationship between these two was interesting, although they constantly misinterpret situations and run away to hide from conversation with each other. All the parts to the story are there, but for me, I need to see them fall for each other and they just didn't have enough time together for me to see that with this book.
