About this ebook
GIOVANNI BERSANI è nato a Bologna nel 1914. Ha partecipato ad Azione Cattolica e FUCI, si è laureato in Giurisprudenza nel 1937 ed è stato militare in Grecia durante la Guerra. Ha partecipato alla Resistenza, alla fondazione delle ACLI bolognesi, della CISL ed è divenuto parlamentare nel 1948. È stato l’ispiratore di molte cooperative, nonché il fondatore di MCL e di CEFA nel 1972. È stato membro del Parlamento Europeo dal 1960 al 1989, nel quale ha promosso l’Assemblea parlamentare paritetica UE-ACP (Africa-Caraibi-Pacifico), di cui è stato per anni presidente; è sempre stato attivo in molti Paesi in via di sviluppo per promuovere la pace. È morto a Bologna nel 2014.
