Always around one another but weren’t together in their lives, all changed after one kiss. Love the title, love the cover, the plot, the dynamic in characters and personalities, and ohhh the tugging of the heart strings. I enjoyed seeing the younger version of Carter pop up in the story (from this author’s other book, Merciless). I’m hoping theres a part two to this book because it didn’t wrap everything up for me with everything that was going on and the secrets that were there.

A Kiss To Tell is a brand new, standalone romantic suspense from Willow Winters. It’s a haunting, emotional tale of two broken souls. It’s a dual POV, so each character gets to voice their thoughts and feelings, and they have plenty. Life’s been less than kind, leaving them tattered and torn but still somehow, they find the will to persevere, there’s always been a connection between them, but for years they denied it’s existence. Chloe has a lot of past anguish she has to deal with, she’s sweet and shy, but the guilt she carries around with her is weighing her down. Sebastian is a dark troubled character, he’s had a hard life, and even though he loves Chloe, it’s always been from afar until one day, things change. Chloe turns to Sebastian for support in her time of need. He thinks he’s not enough for her but she doesn’t and they are finally forced to face the truth. Of course, with this being a Willow Winters tale, nothing is quite as simple as it seems and there’s a lot going on. This is a twisty, turny haunting tale, with a plot full of suspense that will have you on the edge of your seat. But, you will love it too. I for one did, and look forward to more from this amazing author.

I love surprises and this book just up and smacked me upside the head. I wasn’t expecting this book at all but seems like Willow saw fit to help tied us all over till Endless is ready. Willow just shocked the wows out of me when she announced we were getting a looking into the makings of Carter Cross. Of course, I jumped at the chance to see more of Carter and see what made him into the man he is today. I’ve always thought there was some good in him, down in the depths of that tortured soul, and I think I may be right. This story gives us a glimpse of a young Carter Cross, what he endured as a young boy and teenager, and his loyalty to his family, but the story of Sebastian and Chloe is epic in itself. A Kiss to Tell primarily focuses on the relationship of Sebastian and Chloe Rose, but Carter’s friendship and loyalty to Sebastian are at the heart of the makings of the ruthless yet endearing Carter we know and love. Growing up in the same dismal town and the same side of the tracks as Carter, neither Sebastian or Chloe feel safe. Chloe is fraught with the tragic events of her past and present. Sebastian’s protectiveness is always in the forefront, and he can’t stay away, even if it brings her into his world, at least he can protect her. The love and chemistry between these two was beyond imaginable. They had a deep, long-standing love that bloomed at an early age. They cared ever so cautiously for each other and when they took their time to finally show that love to each other, it was explosive and magnificent. This book is one I couldn’t put down. Every page unveils more mystery, secrets, and lies, bringing out the drama and suspense. Each chapter left me with a desire to know more, to find out more. Curiosity got to me right from the start and it never left. Willow kept me guessing on what-was-what and who-was-who throughout the pages. Not even when I knew where the story was going did I really believe it; not until I read the very last words. My unbelief probably stems from the knowledge I have of the cut-throat characters whom Sebastian works for. They play a huge role in the Merciless series and so I anticipated a lot more suspense and drama in the end. There certainly was a lot of buildup and speculation around the apparently coincidental events surrounding the life of Chloe. Although we do get an answer to what had actually happened, it just seemed to me to end a little too quickly and cleanly. Not the shocking ending I expected having read the Merciless Series. Even though I did feel parts of this story veered away from the plotline I would have expected, this was still a phenomenal story that I devoured, and I really hope we get to see more of this couple in the remainder of the Merciless Series.
