Right from the first sentence I was already laughing and almost spit out my food. I was at lunch so imagine how that was going. Right from when East and Ella meet there are sparks. West and East’s relationship is fun and I loved seeing that and the comparison to Cinderella was hilarious. Their chemistry is off the charts and I loved how they meet and progress. There’s still some drama and danger from outside sources. We didn’t get more information on Macon and his secrets but I’m hoping we get closure with West’s story.

What happens next will keeping you turning the pages to see what happens when he sees her again…as one of his students. Lots of heat, drama, adversity, conflict both past and present, suspense and so much more…

I thought this book was terrific. I really enjoy age gap and student/teacher tropes, so those got a huge thumbs up from me. I liked East & Ella. They were complex characters that I found easy to connect with and feel for. Their chemistry was electric and their banter snappy. I felt this book read smoothly and quickly. It grabbed and held my interest well with a smartly crafted blend of emotion, drama, suspense, heart and heat. This is my frank, freely posted review.
