Alors qu'elle se tient d'ordinaire prudemment à l'écart des hommes, Sabrina se surprend à accepter l'invitation à dîner de Javier D'Alessandro, un séduisant homme d'affaires argentin de passage à Londres, qu'elle a rencontré quelques jours plus tôt à l'agence de voyage qu'elle dirige. Il faut dire que Javier est le plus bel homme qu'elle ait jamais vu... Mais Sabrina tombe des nues lorsque, à la fin du dîner, il lui propose de l'épouser !
