About the author

Dr Tuhin Subhra Santra is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Engineering Design at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, India, from July 2016. Currently, he is a tenure track Honorary Visiting Professor at National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, having previously served as Visiting Professor at the University of Cambridge. He received his PhD in Bio-Nano Electro Mechanical Systems from National Tsing Hua University in 2013, and conducted his postdoctoral research at the California Nano System Institute of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), USA. His main research areas are Bio-NEMS, MEMS, single cell technology, and nanomedicine, among many others. He is the editor of the books Microfluidics and Bio-NEMS: Devices and Applications (2020) and Essentials of Single Cell Analysis (2016)

Dr Loganathan Mohan is a Japan Society for the Promotion of Science Researcher at Toyohashi University of Technology, Japan. His main research areas are nanomaterials, biomaterials, drug delivery, Bio-NEMS/MEMS, and biomedical devices. He received his PhD in Nanomaterials from Anna University, India in 2016, and conducted his postdoctoral research at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. He has published 33 peer-reviewed international journal papers and has three Indian patents, eight book chapters, eight proceedings, and 16 conference papers to his credit.
