Thoroughly enjoyed this short story. It reminds me of my youth spent reading and re reading David Edding's "Belgariad and The Mallorian" books. Would have loved to read a bit more but appreciate the difficulty in sustaining a tale of a young hero at such a fast pace. Bravo once more, Matthew.

Another great story from Matthew Reilly. Exciting action and companionable characters with discreet comments on social status quo. What does it matter if some action is a little far fetched, this is a fantasy story after all. Just enjoy it for what it is, a cracking story told in a fast paced manner by an inventive and talented author.

I have been reading Matthew Reilly's books since my early teens and I just absolutely adore them. This is no exception. I love the versatility Matthew applies to his writing, his bravery at trying something new. His fail-proof, action packed, adrenalin filled, fast paced writing never disappoints and always leaves the reader craving more! Time to re-read the entire collection again!
