Kim gaat door een moeilijke periode: wanneer zij een schokkend geheim opbiecht aan haar man Manuel, last hij een ‘time out’ in hun relatie in en vertrekt voor onbepaalde tijd naar zijn familie in Duitsland. Tijdens zijn afwezigheid loopt Kim toevallig Martine tegen het lijf, een vriendin uit het verleden, en een warme relatie bloeit op. Maar al snel lijkt het erop dat hun ontmoeting helemaal niet toevallig is en dat Kim slachtoffer is geworden van Martines ziekelijke obsessies. Martines verregaande dwangmatigheid zorgt voor gevaarlijke situaties, waardoor Kim zelfs in het ziekenhuis belandt. Dan komt Kim erachter dat Manuel al die tijd niet in Duitsland is geweest. Maar ze kan nog niet vermoeden wat er werkelijk aan de hand is...
