Just when things are dire, Mercy and her crew are there to save the day. I like that this story in the series has a happy ending because I was starting to doubt there would be a resolution to Oblivion’s evil goal to destroy everything. I’d like to know what happened to Caladbolg. If Oblivion consumed Caladbolg as I think was mentioned in a previous book, there wouldn’t be a balance; as one cannot live without the other. But I am glad the story imprisoned Oblivion when it did.

Scary cupids! Cupids are wreaking havoc throughout the city. Even the Underground is in danger. Mercy and her army face their biggest foe yet. If they fail, the earth will cease to exist. Wow! Mercy is my vampire hero. The scenarios are mind-boggling. More danger. More magic. I can't wait to see how the next book will top this one. I received a free copy but my review is honest and voluntary.

Mercy and the Underground team are investigating a disturbance at the Ridley Hotel. However, they soon find themselves fighting against several fierce cupids instead of the cute ones. Although Mercy and Julie also get hit by arrows, they lose their emotions instead of getting infected by the love bug. This story has plenty of action and even a bit of romance, ending with a happy for now. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
