Sarah has given up her career to raise her children in the countryside, while her husband works long hours in London. Louise Soraya Black was born to an English mother and Iranian father and has lived all over the world. She worked as a lawyer in London for 7 years before publishing her debut novel, Pomegranate Sky which won the inaugural Virginia Prize in 2009. She lives with her family in Surrey.
