About this eBook

Can a gentleman looking for a governess find the greatest treasure of all?

When James Craig is awakened by the sound of a womanā€™s weeping, he fears heā€™s once again being haunted by a ghost from his past. The powerful railroad tycoon has given up all hope of escaping his nightmares. But when he opens his hotel room door, he finds not a memory, but a flesh-and-blood woman. A woman who makes him ache to take her into his arms and dry her tearsā€¦

Elizabeth Sadler came to San Francisco with a heart full of hope. After her dreams of a bright future are dashed, she finds unlikely solace in the arms of a stranger. A stranger who just happens to be looking for a governess for his four motherless daughters.

Although she tries to resist their charms, Elizabeth soon finds Jamesā€™s little girls ā€” his ā€œTreasuresā€ ā€” sneaking their way past her defenses. But itā€™s their handsome father who poses an even greater danger to her battered heart as Elizabeth finds his stolen kisses and tender touches utterly irresistible. As the shadows of the past gather around them, James and Elizabeth must decide just how many dangers theyā€™re willing to brave to claim the greatest treasure of all ā€” true love.Ā  Ā

Wonderfully thought-provoking, tear-jerking story of unconditional affection for female children by those who are always needed and treasured in their lives!

I liked the smooth description of every and each character. I hated the full description of the love scenes that presented nothing to the reader, plus, detailing it was completely nonsense and ridiculous. The ending was expected but Ruby's old hostile attitude as well as her approval of Elizabeth at the end were two contradicting and unjustified situations. That made the ending look like a happy vague one.

All the characters were well built. The story line was unique. The twists and turns of the plot kept me reading till dawn on a weekday! What I loved most of all was how the author beautifully woven the sociological and multicultural issues of that era in a romance novel & at the same time injecting humor along with it. This should have been a perfect 5 if not for the end part where I felt that it was rushed a bit. Ruby's acceptance of Elizabeth should had been treated differently.
