Harriot's work is threatened by discovery and Henry's search becomes a deadly one, when someone close to him dies in mysterious circumstances. Louis Bayard lives in Washington. The School of Night is his sixth novel. His previous books include Mr Timothy and The Pale Blue Eye which was shortlisted for the CWA Ellis Peters Historical Crime Award.
