"The New Machiavelli" is a novel written by H. G. Wells, first published in 1911. The plot was well-known to have been based on Wells' affair with Amber Reeves and a satire of Beatrice and Sidney web; and, as such, was constituted a veritable literary scandal at the time. An interesting and entertaining story of life and loves, "The New Machiavelli" will not disappoint fans of Wells work and deserves a place on every bookshelf. Herbert George Wells (1866 - 1946) was a prolific English writer who wrote in a variety of genres, including the novel, politics, history, and social commentary.
