I hate the way it is written. Like Lucy is telling the story in the past tense but also talking directly to Gabe. It just keeps going on 'you said' that doesn't sit right at all. I feel like it's for a young audience something about the whole romance is really irritating.

Perhaps it's just not my type of book, but I found this book read like teenage angst. It was quite predictable. It might be okay for young adult fiction. I tried, but wasn't able to identify with the characters. In a book where not much actually happens, the characters and relationships are everything, but neither of these seemed to offer any particular insight for me.

-This book "The Light We Lost" was a contemporary romance novel set in NYC and it's a story about two lover's years of struggle to hold on to that deep-love and it also includes missed-chances,regrets,heartbreak,hurt and many more feelings. This story will definitely leave a impact on you and it will make you question about so many expects of your life.It will make you question your choices and dreams and it will leave a question behind that if your dream is worth it if it doesn't include the person you loved almost half your life? This story is about Lucy and Gabe and told in Lucy's pov. -This book kept me hooked from the start and it starts with how Lucy and Gabe met and how they struggled during the beginning of their relationship and even though how far they were from each other, the love wasn't lost and always thought about each other and keep bringing them closer to each other only to bring back all the things they lost. An amazing story of heartbreak and love.
