Growing up in one of the most notorious neighborhoods in Brooklyn isn't easy, but for a long time it seemed as if Prince Poet Washington might defy those odds.
Sixteen years ago, his father abandoned the family, so Poet has always felt a sense of responsibility. At twenty years old, he is the man of the house, keeping a watchful eye on his two younger sisters and helping his hardworking mother with the bills. Yoshe is a resident of Brooklyn, New York, and the mother of a teenage son. She attended Borough of Manhattan Community College, where she studied journalism. Yoshe has always enjoyed writing, but it wasn't until she left her position as a New York City Corrections Officer in 2004 that she became reacquainted with her passion to write. Yoshe enjoys touching the hearts of readers from different walks of life with what she calls her "reality writings."
