Take a Scandalous Trip to the Roaring Twenties I found this book to be unusual and fun. Right away you are drawn into the world of the Roaring Twenties, with speakeasies, flappers, and Prohibition. I like the way that the author weaved in the backstory. No info dumps here! We do learn quickly, though, that our heroine, Betty, and her sisters regularly sneak out to enjoy drinks and dancing at speakeasies to thumb their noses at their controlling father. He has even arranged a marriage for Betty, making it even more important to her to bust out and go a little crazy. In the first scene at one of the speakeasies, she meets a man she had met a couple of years previously in Seattle—not where she is currently at—where he had shocked her when he kissed her after rescuing her from a sneaker wave. Unbeknownst to her then and at the start of the book, he is actually a federal agent for the precursor of the FBI and has been deep undercover for a while. The hero has a deep distrust of just about everyone, but women in particular. Betty insinuates herself into his case and succumbs to their mutual attraction, hence the baby in the title of this book. Things don't look good for them for a while, of course. Will they find their HEA? I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.

Another good story in the "Sisters of the Roaring Twenties" stories. I don't usually find books from this period in time so it was a real treat. This is Betty and Henry's story. This is a good historical romance that is fast paced with suspense, mystery and little surprise. He is an FBI agent with emotion scars. She is an heiress trying to escape her father's control. He is under cover and she is one of the suspects. The attraction is undeniable. I love how this one develops and especially ends.

The second book in the Sisters of the Roaring Twenties series a well written story that kept me turning pages. FBI agent Henry Randall and heiress Betty Dryer’s story of two people afraid to let themselves love. I enjoyed seeing how they finally got to be together. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review
