This book contains a lot of interesting facts but feels like it was written by someone who has never played a game in their life. This, sadly, gives it a very dispassionate feel that is off putting. Very average - it should have been written by someone with a real passion for video games.

Im doing media AS in the UK and as we're doing video games this short book summarizes the topic in a very good way.

Tim Cross joined The Economist as an intern in June 2004. He covered business, and then transport, energy and the environment for the Britain section, where he won the Wincott Award for Young Financial Journalist of the Year in 2005. Mr Cross now works on the Science section, covering, among other things, astronomy, the space business, medicine and technology stories of all kinds.
