Peadar O'Guilin was inspired to write The Grey Land books by the mystical beauty of northwest Ireland where he spent his early childhood. For many years, Peadar developed both a fascination and deep love for mythology and Irish legends. He describes The Call as 'my mash-up of the darker parts of Irish mythology and classic survival stories.'
