Despre autor
1808-1889
Presbiteriano escocés, hermano de Andrew Bonar. Después de la universidad, pasó a pastorear en iglesias de pueblos antes de servir durante muchos años en la principal iglesia presbiteriana de Edimburgo, que se hizo conocida por su sólida enseñanza y avivamiento bíblico.
