About this eBook

Cinderella never had to deal with this crap.

Jane isn't entirely sure that Cinderella got such a raw deal. Sure, she had a rough start, but didn't she eventually land a prince and a happily-ever-after? Meanwhile, Jane is busy waiting on her demanding, entitled sisters, running her cleaning business, and . . . yep, not a prince in sight. Until a party and a broken shoe incident leave Jane wondering if princes---or at least, a certain deliciously hunky billionaire --maybe do exist.

Except Brock Wellington isn't anyone's dream guy. Hell, a prince would never agree to be auctioned off in marriage to the highest bidder. Or act like an arrogant jerk---even if it was just a favßade. Now, as Brock is waiting for the auction chopping block, he figures it's karmic retribution that he's tempted by a sexy, sassy woman he can't have. But while they can't have a fairy-tale ending, maybe they can indulge in a little bit of fantasy . . .

This was a new author to me and I have no idea why I have not read her before. After tragedy strikes Jane is left to hold her family together but sadly that means she spends all her time waiting on and looking after her two sisters, just like a modern day Cinderella. This was a great romantic comedy and although both Jane and Brock annoyed me with their willingness to let their families walk all over them, I could at times understand why they did. When Brock's grandfather comes to him with a plan to auction Brock off as a public relations event to show their family in a more favourable light, Brock despite his miss-givings agrees. When Jane meets Brock at a party, sparks immediately fly and the air sizzles with their attraction to one another. Just like Cinderella, Jane leaves before he can get her name. Imagine his surprise when he finds Jane cleaning the ranch house where he is staying while waiting for the auction to take place. The camaraderie and banter between Jane and Brock was side splitting at times, throw in some barnyard animals and there was certainly a lot happening. I laughed a great deal whilst reading this book and yet it was sweet and spicy as well. This book was well written and I really liked not only ther main characters but the secondary ones as well. I cannot wait until Brock's twin brothers get the story.
