Gaius Julius Caesar (July 100 BC – 15 March 44 BC) was a Roman general, statesman, and author whose military and political acumen carved his name into the annals of history. Among his written works, 'The African War' describes the events of the campaign in North Africa during the latter stage of Caesar's Civil War, following the decisive Battle of Pharsalus.
