Roderick believes in love at first sight, while Clarissa wants financial security. A compromising situation forces them to wed. Though passionate together, they struggle with trust. Can they find true love? This book is outstanding. The characters are unique and well-developed, the story well-paced and engaging. I love how Roderick supports Clarissa emotionally in her struggles with her parents. It was lovely to see her bloom and discover her identity. Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC.
