The textbook of Pharmaceutical Chemistry has been written for students of diploma in pharmacy first-year students keeping in mind specific requirements of the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), Education Regulation - 2020. This is a bilingual book in both English and Hindi for easy understanding to students. This book is covering the entire syllabus as per new PCI norms including practicals and previous year questions.

This book containing thirteen chapters covering pharmaceutical inorganic chemistry and medicinal chemistry topics. Chapter 1 is introduction to pharmaceutical chemistry containing limit tests, error in analysis, scope, significant figures and quality control methods. Chapter 2 is volumetric analysis containing fundamentals, acid and base theories and titrations. Chapter 3 is related to inorganic pharmaceuticals comprise of hematinics and antacids. Chapter 4 belongs to heterocyclic compounds and their nomenclature. Chapter 5-13 belongs to synthesis and classification of medicinal drugs and their chemistry used in the treatment of several disorder.

Mr. Gajendra Singh Thakur joined as Assistant Professor in Faculty of Pharmacy, and Health Science. Dr KN Modi University Jaipur Rajasthan, India. He completed his M.Pharm (Pharmaceutical Chemistry) in the year 2018 from Central University of Rajasthan Ajmer, PGDPIR (Post Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Right) in the year 2018 from Vardhman Mahaveer Open University, Kota, Rajasthan and his B.Pharm in the year 2016 from Guru Ghasidas Central University, Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, India. He is a GPAT and CUCET qualified as well as he has 03 years of teaching and research experience Special in Anticancer Medicine. He is Registered Pharmacist of Chhattisgarh Pharmacy Council of India. He has several Certificate regarding National and International Conference. He has published various research and review papers in reputed journals such as Journal of Drug Delivery Science and Technology and World Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences published in the field of Nanoformulation of Anti-cancer Drugs.

Mr. Tarun Chaudhary is currently working as Lecturer in Dehat Vikas College of Pharmacy in Tigaon, Faridabad Haryana. He has started his professional journey from East West College of Pharmacy Bangalore in the year 2006. He has done his M.Pharm in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and is also pursuing his PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Institute of Pharmaceutical Research GLA University, Mathura Uttar Pradesh India. He has 15 years’ experience in teaching as lecturer. He is a life member of various professional bodies like Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers in India. He is a registered pharmacist at Haryana state Pharmacy Council. He has published a number of research and review paper in reputed journal.

Mr. Anuj Bhatnagar, completed his M. Sc. in Organic Chemistry and currently pursuing Ph.D. He had joined J.K. Drugs & Pharmaceuticals Limited (Now part of TEVA group) in August 1997 as Trainee Chemist to Analytical Chemist II. In Feb 2001, he had joined Analytical Testing Services (A Ranbaxy Group Company) as Officer (Grade S-II to S-III) with additional responsibility to develop and validate the analytical method of Drug Product Like – Volini Gel, Revital capsules and different dry syrups. In May 2006, he had joined Ranbaxy Fine Chemicals Limited (RFCL), worked in role of Sr. Scientist to Team Leader (ARD) with responsibilities of analytical method development and validation of solid dosages, veterinary formulations and advance organic intermediate. In July’2009, I had joined Venus Remedies Limited (Venus Medicine Research Center-VMRC) as Sr. Manager (ARD) to DGM (Analytical Research). He has nine published research articles in International Journals and one abstract published in an International Conference held at San Diego, USA.

Mr. Parag Jain currently working as Assistant Professor at Chhatrapati Shivaji Institute of Pharmacy, Drug, Chhattisgarh. He has completed his B.Pharm from Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur in 2011 and M.Pharm in

pharmacology from Columbia Institute of Pharmacy, Raipur in 2013. Presently, he is pursuing Ph.D. from Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical Univeristy, Bhilai. He has worked as Assistant Professor at Guru Ghasidas Viswavidyalaya, Central University, Bilaspur from 2014 – 2016. He got research training at AIIMS, New Delhi and IIIM, CSIR, Jammu in 2012. He has honored by Indian Academy of Sciences, Bangalore. He has awarded Young Scientist Award, by CCOST, Chhattisgarh in 2019 for his Ph.D. research work. He has five books under national and international banner. He has more than 30 article published in impact and peer reviewed journals.

Mr. Dharmendra Lal, completed his B. Pharm from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, India. Currently he is pursuing M. Pharm in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya. He is involved in teaching Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry to the Diploma in Pharmacy and Bachelor in Pharmacy students. He is actively involved in teaching and academic administration. He is started teaching from Lutawan institute of pharmacy Ghazipur and currently actively engaged in teaching at Shri Bajrang Institute of Pharmacy Ghazipur.
