About the author
Raised in a blockaded England during World War II, Ted Simon grew up with a powerful urge to explore the world. He wrote about his four-year journey around the world by motorcycle in the book Jupiter's Travels, which became an international best-seller. His other books are The Checkered Year, Riding High, The River Stops Here, and Rolling Through the Isles. He has lived in France and California, and has one son.
