storyline is monotonous and there are pages and pages of absolutely nothing. Author repeatedly fills the pages with the same content. I finished the book purely because I thought any minute now the plot will develop or the storyline will turn into something but literally nothing. Bizarre

Absolutely loved this one, totally unexpected! I couldn't care less for tennis in real live, but the way the author describes it, and the way she carefully carved out the uniqueness of every character, kept me on the edge of my seat! She's also putting the finger on the casual sexism and discrimination that is still going on in the reporting of female sports, without letting it dominate the story or making it seem like she wants to lecture anyone. Love, love, love it!

Wow! I never thought I'd enjoy a book about a tennis player until this one came along and I loved it! I highly recommend this book it's so much more than a book about tennis there's so much heart and soul a perfect follow up to Malibu rising (also a great read).
