Winona LaDuke seemed destined to live her life as an activist for Indigenous peoples. The daughter of an actor and an art teacher who shared a passion for activism themselves, Winona took part in her first protest when she was just ten years old. While attending Harvard University, she learned more about the injustices faced by Native peoplesand how both they and the environment needed people like her.
