I love this whole series. Great world, great characters, great twisty plots. One doesn't have to read all of the books to understand this one, but I think you'll enjoy it if you do. There are always a few errors in the texts of these books. There were more this time: a comma in the wrong place; repeated words; the word bee instead of been; etc. It's a minor problem, don't let it put you off. I mention it in hopes the author checks these reviews and improves the editing. It hasn't put me off. I've read all of them to this point and plan on continuing. Overall well worth your time.
