This is book three in the McKade Law series. It is a stand alone book, however I fell in love with the McKade family in book one and love the entire series. You do miss some history on the family if you jump into this novel but nothing that keeps you from understanding what is going on in this novel. I love the writing style of Sleeman, her books are always full of mystery, Suspense, romance and more. This book will focus on the handsome deputy Matt McKade. He has his life all mapped out and that does not involve a wife and child yet. But when Nicole Dyer and her beautiful, spunky daughter enter his life everything gets turned upside down. There are many twist, turns and suspense in this novel. I look forward to hearting more from the McKade family.

Who doesn't love a wonderful romantic suspense with a little Christmas thrown in? Christmas Hideout by Susan Sleeman is definitely worth reading. Matt McKade always thought he would be married to his job until he meets Nicole Dyer and her adorable daughter Emilie. They make him think about the possibility of a different life, but first he has to protect Nicole from her dangerous ex-boyfriend. I was given an ARC from the author/publisher. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.

Once again, this talented author, gives us a Christian suspenseful romance filled with twists and turns that have you trying to figure the “whodunit”. As good as the suspense was, the relationship between single mom, Nicole Dyer, and Deputy Matt McKade was the real star of the story, as well as the faith in God. At times we forget that in order to feel an inner peace and find the right answers to our concerns and problems, all we have to do is do our best and leave the rest to God. This is a story about hope, love , faith , family and the miracle of Christmas. If you have read the previous stories about the McKade clan, you will enjoy catching up with them. If you haven’t , I highly recommend that you take the time and “meet” the family. Another engaging story with complex characters. I can’t wait to see what the author has in store for Kendall, Matt’s sister. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
