ಈ ಇ-ಪುಸ್ತಕದ ಕುರಿತು
Many a time, I would enact clearly my imaginative stories with much emotion.
Though I have been writing ever since my college days, it was only after the birth of my daughter that children’s literature attracted my attention.
I have written children’s stories in English, and I also enjoy writing for children in Tamil as well. When my Tamil Books on children’s literature were published, I was very much motivated.
Whenever I narrate stories to school children, I feel as if I belong to their age group and enjoy doing so.
Although I have written many novels and short stories in English and Tamil, the pleasure I receive in writing for children is something that is close to my heart and cannot be explained.
As I enter the children’s world and envisage events from their viewpoints, I tend to learn a lot.
As I mingle with them, I have absorbed certain matters and written many short stories based on them.

சிறு வயதிலிருந்தே கதை, கட்டுரைகளில் நாட்டம் கொண்ட எழுத்தாளர் காந்தலக்ஷ்மி சந்திமெளலி. முதலில் ஆங்கிலத்தில் எழுதத் தொவங்கினார். உலக நாடுகள் பலவற்றிற்கு சென்றுள்ள இவர் தமிழில் சிறுகதைகள் எழுத துவங்கினார். "தினமணி - ஞாயிறு மணி, லேடீஸ் ஸ்பெஷல், கலைமகள், அமதசுரபி, கோகுலம் கதிர் என்று பல நேர்காணல்களுக்கான வாய்ப்புகள் பெற்ற பொழுது சாதனையாளர்களின் வாழ்க்கையை நேரடியாக காணும் வாய்ப்பு பெற்றேன்" என்கிறார். சிறுவர் இலக்கியம், நாவல்கள், குறுநாவல்கள், சிறுகதைகள் என்று பல்வேறு களங்களில் தடம் பதித்துள்ள இவர் நந்தா தீபம், சிறுவர் இலக்கிய ரத்னா, சிறந்த எழுத்தாளார், எழுத்துச்சுடர், அருள் வளர் நங்கை என்று பல விருதுகளை பெற்றுள்ளார்.
ஆங்கிலத்திலிருந்து தமிழுக்கு பல நூல்களை மொழி பெயர்த்துள்ளார். ஆங்கிலத்திலும் சில நூல்கள் எழுதியுள்ளார். வானொலி, தொலைக்காட்சி நிகழ்ச்சிகளில் பங்கேற்றுள்ளார்.
