I read. A lot. A book every day or two, in fact. That has led me to being very good at seeing where a plot is going and what surprises are in store. Obviously, everyone that reads a romance novel knows that when they read the blurb on the back cover that the two people mentioned there are going to get together in the end. There will be bumps along the way, but they end up together. They often remind me of pulling up a Mapquest search to get from point A to point B. The route is laid out for you, turn by turn in a nice pretty manner. That is the norm, with a few predictable twists thrown in. That is not the case with Spring Serendipity, however. Yes, Lora and Shane are the main characters of the book, and yes, they end up together. Their route, however, is not A to B. There are surprises I did not see coming. It did not follow the shortest distance, the shortest time, or even the 'standard' alternate route to get to its destination. This is the first novel by Netzel that I have read, but it will not be the last. Her writing is fresh, imminently readable, and a real treat to find in the jungle of books published today. I've received this book in exchange for an honest review.

Unlike the prior two book that brought tears to my eye, this book brought anticipation and hope for happy ever after.
