Pathetic reader and dumb author. Typical plain Jane. Started off ok then all of a sudden there were doubts if the house was really haunted. The murder and "mystery" was SO FORCEDDD thought this was going to be a scary novel with a romance story with Robbie. Very annoying repetitiveness aswell. stupid cliff hanger too I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!

Free books are never great, but this one was absolute trash. Predictable. There are dozens of mistakes with spelling and incorrect words. Lots of repeated info such as one guy removing a key from his pocket twice in two paragraphs. Ages change. The worst for me was that the story itself was not only extremely predictable but made no sense. An immature 39/40 year old woman inherits a house after the first few chapters of her going on and on about how she has a dream of owning a B&B. Within 2 weeks of getting the keys (no paperwork or anything, no proving she's who she says she is, a lawyer just hands her the key and it's hers), the house is open for business as a B&B! Again, no license needed or anything! Awful characters who are rude, bland, and downright stupid. A murder that could have been avoided if the deceased could only smell or hang on to the sides of the basket! Not sure how the people with low IQs could enjoy this one looks like some have! Skip it to save your brain cells.

The Ghostly Grounds: Murder and Breakfast is the first book in A Canine Casper Cozy Mystery series and is a great start to this new series. I really enjoyed this cozy mystery. The characters are likable and relatable. The storyline is well crafted and engaging, with a relationship wrecked, a haunted inheritance, mystery, suspense, intrigue, and humour (and a cool dog). I am looking forward to reading more books in this series. I read and reviewed this book with no obligation.
