A part of the great epic, 'The Mahabharata', The Bhagavad Gita reveals the belief in 'Karma' as a result of one’s actions and how one can attain 'Liberation' walking on the path of devotion and knowledge. I cherish this amazingly translated piece by the famed Victorian poet, Sir Edwin Arnold, in which he has versed the conversation between the warrior Arjuna and his guide, Lord Krishna—incarnation of God—in beautiful blank verse. The vocabulary is complex at some places however, it is successful in the portrayal of a strong spiritual imagery in the mind. This classic work provides an admirable outline of the original Sanskrit scripture by conveying its true feeling. I recommend this marvellous book as an enlightening read for all book lovers.
