About the author
Ada Palmer ist Fantasy-Autorin, Historikerin und Komponistin. Mit dem hier vorliegenden Debüt-Roman Dem Blitz zu nah gewann sie bereits 2017 den Compton Crook Award. Darüber hinaus wurde sie mit dem John W. Campbell Award ausgezeichnet. Sie hält Vorlesungen über die früh-moderne Geschichte Europas mit dem Schwerpunkt italienische Renaissance, hat aber auch eine bedeutende Schwäche für die Geschichte der Wikinger.
