About this eBook

If they had one of those anonymous rehabilitation programs for folks like me, my introduction would be, “Hi, I’m Shira, and I kill people.” Except rehab suggests killing people bothers me. It doesn’t.

Neither am I particularly committed to anything other than not being caught. That sounded a shred on the hard-hearted side. I’m not. I’m a lot like you. I get up every morning, clean myself up, and check my phone to see what I have cooking.

Everyone has a job. Mine happens to be ridding the world of people who shouldn’t be here. Not that I’m making those decisions. People hire me, and I trust they’ve done their homework.

I’ve always been…different, never had a close circle of friends or even associates. Once I discovered I could do unusual things, I kept to myself. Those rare skills make me a perfect choice because I kill from a distance and leave no evidence. What I do is lucrative. I’m pretty much set even for my rather long lifetime.

In theory, I could quit anytime.

I say that after every job. That I should walk away, except I don’t. Tell you what. Don’t judge me, and I might spare you if your number comes up on my dance card. Deal?

In this first book, of a brand new series, the author has given us an unexpected, very diffetent view of her magnificent story telling mind. I want to add a couple of more stars ✨ cause this is one helluva an awesome story. The heroine is a snarky, kickass, has an amazing power, works alone assassin, AND she has a really neat cat. She is unconventionly approached by a very imposing leader of an organized circle of assassins. Apparently they have been watching her for several years to see if she could possibly fit in. It turns out that these assassins are required to bond with a partner, and yes, i they are animals. Trying to make a long short, she accepts and her partner is an animal that she has seen in her dreamis, and NO, I'm not going to tell you. The excitement and danger that she and her partner have is really something. Along the way she meets a "bad" guy who turns into a "good" guy 😍. Oh my God, this book is jam packed with adventures and I'm not saying more. Let me just say your going to have to get the book and read for yourself because I don't do spoilers. Another thing, the author has to give us book two really soon,

Shira, the first book in Ann Gimpel's Circle of Assassin's series, is off the charts amazing! Shira, a loner assassin, is about to take an assignment that will change her life forever. Filled with magic, paranormals, adventure, intrigue, danger, murder, and romance, the plot will take you all over the place and keep you perched on the edge of your seat the entire way. The storyline is fast-paced and very well written. The characters are fine-tuned and engaging. It's rewarding to watch Shira come into her magic as she learns more about it and herself. I definitely look forward to seeing what adventures book 2 will bring!
